Alexis

Alexis here chose one of the biggest party tunes you can ever find.  Niggas In Paris.

I love to watch interviews of people and seeing  and hearing their stories, what they get up to in life and things like that. One of the most interesting stories I have heard about this song is from Snoop Dogg’s GGN Network platform. I can’t remember who was being interviewed at the time( it was a producer of some sort) and they were talking about this song. Apparently this beat was intended for a rapper named Pusha T and if I remember correctly Pusha didn’t really like the beat and neither did Kanye West. However Jay-Z heard it in passing and was mesmerised by it.

Long story short Niggas in Paris came along.

In effect Pusha and Kanye -both phenomenal artists in their own right have made incredible songs -but just couldn’t see the potential in this beat for a song. But Jay-Z did.  Teaching me that one man’s trash really is another man’s treasure.  And there is potential everywhere,  you just have to be in the right places.

Please don’t feel triggered if you’re reading this and see the word nigga :). Here’s the song below.
