When I saw this song chosen I couldn’t remember the title at all. But when I played it, all the memories of hearing this song came rushing back.

There’s a quote from Albert Einstein that says: ” Great spirits have encountered violent opposition from weak minds. ” If you don’t know who Mary J Blige is or her story, a simple Wikipedia read will suffice. This woman has been through some incredible things in her life, but in spite of this she just seems like a real dope person right? Not just the music. Like when I see her in interviews, I feel like she’d be a real dope person to kick it with.

I remember Jay-Z giving an interview once on Hot97 and he was telling the story of when he was coming up and his uncle would tell him. ” You’re never gonna be a rapper just give that up.” How wrong was he!!  That could in part be a reason as to why Jay has such a presence on songs.

So if you’re feeling a lack of confidence or are questioning yourself. Look at Mary J. Blige’s story and let her tribulations inspire you. Because if she can go through what she’s been through and talk about how happy she is with her life. We all have hope. And hope is all that is needed.
