I remember meeting Dan and Curtis at the Surface Gallery and they asked me what type of hip hop I was into and I told them what I grew up listening to. They weren’t that impressed haha! And to be honest I can see why.
The word play on this from Sticky Finghaz is insane. As someone who has dabbled in trying to rap in the past you tend to recognise and appreciate the construction of wordsmiths like this. You can tell a lot of thought and effort has gone into their craft, that is literally exuding through the raps.
Doing RMD I’m usually always looking for more new ways that I can impact people via marketing and doing this and doing that; trying to show people more of us as a clan. I spoke to a few people and they just said tell more stories, people love to hear stories and it’s true! I LOVE to hear stories too. You might forget an image I post on Instagram, you might forget the videos that we post. But when we tell stories and share our lives with RMD Stans you’ll never forget that. That’s what rappers like ONYX have made careers doing and that’s what this song does!
@Dan In my defense when I was growing up a lot of people I know listened to rap groups like ONYX so I was aware of the talent of these guys I was just too stubborn to take time and listen.
If you read this be sure to share it. And if you’re going to comment please comment Veronica.. Veronica haha!
