£100 for a tee

What’s good? I try to write blogs every week to give more of an idea of what RMD is as a brand. I sometimes found difficulty in articulating what RMD means to people but I guess I shouldn’t say that  you know because an entrepreneur is supposed to have it all figured out! But I hope my actionsand social media engagement speak for itself. So what I said to myself is to figure out what RMD definitely isn’t. We are a band that definitely does not think its okay to sell a t-shirt for £100. Imagine that? The classic tee

Song of the Week

With most of my blogs I like to use older songs. But there are a select few artists(3-4) which I actually go out of my way to listen to.  Only because what you put in to yourself is what comes out. And I want make sure I forever stay level-headed for those of you that have support and continue to support RMD. J Cole is one of those artists. His new album that came out is great and has some great songs, one of them being Change, the song I have chosen for the song of the week below.  Make

Song Of The Week

RMD is a brand that aims to be tailored for the person reading this. The person walking down the street who doesn’t understand why they can’t a break. The person who doesn’t really know what they want to do life, even though everyone else thinks that they’ve got it made. The person who… Well I guess you get the picture. We want to speak for the hearts of of people like that. And why I chose this song from Bring Me The Horizon. It’s closer to Heavy Metal and unlike what I usually pick for Song of the Week. But

Zero Douchebag Policy

Someone recently asked me. He worked in HSBC if I remember right.  ” With RMD if you start hiring people, what would be your corporate culture? ” That’s something I had never really thought of but I know for sure the title of this blog would be it. This is so vital not just in a company but for life too. If you start recognising those people and deleting them from your life; everything will be 100 times better. You’ll have more energy, more positivity. And your overall outlook will be so much better and you’ll see opportunities and chances rather than

Adrenaline Alley

I used to skate when I was 10-11 years old but just stopped for some reason, may have to jump back on it. But yeah anyway. No real story behind this blog just trying to show more about us. We went Adrenaline Alley in Corby, Leicestershire; the biggest skate park in Europe. Had to check it out. Got a few photos we’re trying to sort through. But yeah very dope place. And would highly recommend it.

Song Of the Week

It’s pretty late as I write this. Just had to do another blog as its been a minute.  Can’t go into a full explanation why I like this song( coz its like 1am) but yeah its the song of the week, something more chilled from Jhene Aiko. Hope you like it. Don’t forget to leave a comment. It’s called W.A.Y.S. Just in case some copyright thing doesn’t allow you to listen to it. Have a Good Week. Blessings.

Unadulterated

I’ve added on the description on some of the RMD social media tags the word Unadulterated. I recently watched The Founder, a film on how McDonald’s was created.  It was a great film which I definitely recommend. Not to give too much away but there were two guys who started McDonald’s who were focused on the quality of what was being produced. And making sure the burgers were awesome. And I remember watching something on TV a couple of years ago where a guy was eating a burger from an independent restaurant. And he said:  ”  This burger is amazing!

Song of the Week

As you know. RMD is strictly positive vibesand as such we share music that is strictly positive vibes. Some songs you hear when you’re young and just sing along to but don’t really understand. The guy creating this song is (Wyclef Jean)  a Haitian American. Being from Haiti which is one of the most impoverished countries in the world and living in rough neighbourhoods in America; he would have seen incredible things  desperate men and women would do to get money and get out from where they are.  With that context, the song seems more poignant. To me anyway.

Story

The last few blogs have been pretty inspirational and motivational and all that. Which is awesome of course, but sometimes you need some balance in life. So I thought I’d share a story which I hope you find funny. The moral of the story is not to judge a book by its cover lol. So given my name, if you may not know I am of African heritage; Nigeria to be specific. As such my family, have  familyand friends of African heritage also.  My mum knew these two African women, friends to the family,  who were living in London at

Song of the Week

Sounds obvious and stupid to say but in life people die. But their memory lives on through the people they have impacted. There are constantly deaths and injustices all over the world which we hear about, but the ones that shake us at our core are usually the ones directly in your family/friendship groups.  RMD clan is no different, experiencing such in the past year. There was a song I heard from an artist named Hanni El Khatib. He’s clearly referring to someone near and dear to him who was like a brother. And it was such a dope tune
