Raj 2

Raj had three choices for Song of the Week but one of them was already picked by Vishal( Bob McFerrin Don’t Worry Be Happy). But his second choice has not be chosen beforeand that was Will Varley- King for a King. I love the melody of the song; however the content for me is slightly depressing. Will is simplifying life as one of the most mundane things that can happen to someone. But especially in my experience I don’t feel as though it’s like that. There are upsand downs moments we hateand moments we savour the hell out of. What

Sometimes understanding people with a thick Jamaican accent is very difficult for me. I’m sure I’m not the only one.  But what I love about this song is that there is a real message behind this( if you listen carefully! ).  To super summarise the tune Buju is saying there is no good that can come from murdering someone. which is very true. Murder is horrible but for me there is a greater theme in this song. Whatever you do in life can follow you around good or bad choices and that’s why you have to choose well. You can get

Sitira

Firstand foremost I hope I’m spelling your name correct Sitira? If you read the blogs or if you’ve spoken to me you know that RMD is going to be exhibiting in Bricklane next month. As a result I’ve been super busy with getting prepared for this event; its as if this choice was perfect for me. But I’m sure someone out there will feel this song too. As I get older I  feel as though life is a lot more about enjoying the small dope moments that make memories; rather than hitting those accomplishmentsand targets. So if life is moving

Aiwan

I love music that when I hear it, it feels so authentic. This is the case with an artist like Jimi Hendrix. It feels like he was just jamming away in his studio/room when he came up with this song.  Although this song is a tad bit depressing( Sorry Aiwan! It just is). It’s still an incredible piece of artistry from one of the greatest artists of his generation.  But give it a listen, expanding your musical palette makes your life more interesting.  Trust me 🙂 Got some new designs coming. And something big planned for the brand in London. Just

This song may not be as profound as last week’s choice for song of the week. However sometimes in the mundane ordinary of life a really chilled out song with no lyrics is all you need, This a great mystical tune that is so relaxing its insane. My close friends know that I like to write raps now and again. I was really tempted to do that for this amazing tune. If you want to hear that let me know haha! Otherwise just enjoy the track and I hope it enriches your Sunday. Peace. **UPDATE** Forgot to add the link

This is an amazing but I feel as though it has been diluted. For many reasons. The vines and lyrics that have replaced the original. Such as from the comments section of the Youtube video: I believe I could fly, I got shot by the FBI, All I wanted was Burger King, But all they gave me was Chicken Wings.  Hilarious you have to admit lol. Also the controversy surrounding the artist R.Kelly doesn’t help. But regardless this doesn’t take away from the depths of what he is actually saying. Everyone can fly in whatever it is they are doing,

Lazarus

The Song Of the Week this week comes from the legend-Michael Jackson. Again this is another song which I have never heard, but immediately love. The thing about this song is that everyone is holding out hope for something out there. Whether that be a relationship; a child or just hoping for better days than the days which you’re going through at the moment.  If you’re not holding out hope for something, I challenge you to find something to hope for. Why? Because as human beings we’re future oriented creatures and if we’re not looking forward we’re looking back. And

Dalya

I live in the UK,  I have all my life. And as such I speak English quite well, but no other language quite as fluently. There is a song that is currently number 1 in the UK( or maybe it has just been knocked off the top spot)and it has been for the last 12 weeks and its that Despacito song by Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee. I don’t understand a word that they say but I absolutely love the song to death, like everyone else. Which I started to to think ?!  This is the real power of emotion.

Naomi

This week’s song of the week comes from Naomi. She said anything from a band called Zed’s Dead. Again this is another band that I have never heard of, just like the London Grammar choice( go check that one out). So I heard a few songs of theirs and I absolutely love this song that I have chosen.  If you are on the journey of trying to figure out yourself and who you are/ your purpose. Or if you’re just trying to achieve a certain goal that seems far-fetched. You’re doing what this song is saying because you’re trying to

Michael

This week’s song of the week comes from Michael. This song is a song that is again deep on so many levelsand contains so many layers you can talk about. But I’m going to address a few. Kid Cudi if you don’t know is one of the most introspective artists you can listen toand addresses topics that aren’t necessary popular like certain “pop ” songs.  Here he talks about burdensand worries that people go through. I recently went on holiday to Berlinand looking around the city was incredible. However there is one pet peeve that I hate. And that is
