Kenza chose a golden oldie here that is just a beautiful choice. I recently saw Damien Marley all over the internet promoting a new project. Doesn’t have much to do with the blog I’m about to right but I thought I should mention haha!

The lyrics in this song are poignant when you think about. I remember back when I was doing my GCSE’s someone teachers would used to tell us in school: ” These are the most important exams of your life!” and ” You’re going to be deciding the rest of your life with your performance in these exams!”

Some of the biggest  lies were told to us. I know people that did phenomenally well in their GCSE’s and A-Levels  but in their 20’s they still feel unfulfilled or void of purpose.  And the funniest thing for me looking back was how I felt so nervous and worried before exams. How I felt like the grim reaper of failure in life was waiting for me if I didn’t do well.

Looking back now, all the worrying was a waste of energy. Worrying is rocking in a rocking chair, achieve nothing, stay in the same place but still stress you tf out. I hope Kenza’s choice helps you today, I’m sure you’ll recognise it when you hear it. I actually didn’t know it was called three little birds beforehand!
